Thus, we were all delighted when Hagrid was made Professor of Care of Magical Creatures class at Hogwarts. Fluffy, black, and long-snouted, this burrowing creature has a predilection for anything glittery. And he took every opportunity he got to get as close as possible to threatening creatures, sometimes even going so far as to expose them to others too (not meaning any harm of course). But even this could not make him love magical animals and other magical creatures any less. After all, it was his love for dangerous creatures that got Hagrid expelled from Hogwarts. ![]() ![]() In all of the Harry Potter universe there was not a single character who loved magical creatures more than Hagrid (except maybe for Newt Scamander), especially magical creatures that were incredibly dangerous and aggressive. It must not have been easy for Rowling to come up with countless of magical creatures that not only looked unique but also realistic. Rowling, the magical world of Harry Potter was full of magical things - jobs, concepts, creatures and items - that would have made no sense to Muggles. Other creatures can, of course, be read about in the book the movie is based on.įantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will be released in theaters Nov. These are just a few of the creatures that Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) has to track down when they become loose in New York. In fact, its the fur of Demiguises that's used to make an Invisibility Cloak, like the one that Harry received for Christmas in his first year at Hogwarts.
