After unpacking, WE prefer a fine luncheon in the MAKI TACO restaurant….fine Japanese sushi with tempuras, fried rices, noodles….and with a Mexican touch! The bar choices and house wine selections are getting better with each trip…. Now people, by reading my review of the GRAND OASIS HOTEL in Cancun, I have been asked… IS THIS A 5 star hotel? To which, I answer … no… TO ME ITS A 10 STAR HOTEL!!! Why, you ask? Well, from the moment you’re greeted at the front door, you’re treated as family….a returning guest….then whisked into the check in area…the utmost of courtesy…receive your bracelets, then await your luggage in a gorgeous room overlooking the vast pools and ocean. There are goeorgeous resorts all over the world with excellent quality on All they offer … But to make it simple, THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU GO. Leaking, mold smell and in the walls, ohhh goshhhhh, too much to ecplain. I wonder why the feel like that, because that is exactly what they reflect in their faces, expressions, customer service,etc.Building number is old, the bathroom,beds, room everything is old, roachws by the nightstand. I corrected her, and she replied for you is a,paradise for us is hell. It called my attention that just gettibg out of breakfast I heard this female telling this new employee, Welcome to Hell in spanish. Employees never said good morningbor good night or whatever they do say to say hello, they are just not into the customer service. Resuming dont beg for anything, the treatment at this resort is like you are a 3er class guest, nothing like La Romana, Costa Rica, Bahamas Resorts, tgey should learn from them about quality of service, meals, customer service. 4 more times I asked to bring sometime to the roim, since my friend birthday was the day before return, her 1st answer, I have a note, remind her 2nd day, her answer yes, I am aware, 3er day oh I forgot but i am going to put the request now. The Concerniege, horrible,incompetent,distracted,irrespinsoble, 4 times, 4 times I asked to refill the fridge, not even with beers, just water, went last night at the hotel. I pointed that multiple times to tge supervisir of the food and drinks by the pool., he just lift his arms, like, if you dont like it. The Drinks, another chapter, recycle cups, they pick up those from wherever people left them, use it over and over, never nwver observe any person bring it back to the bartender area and wash those, just rinse and go, Could you imagine tge amount of germs you are bringing into your mouth, now I understand why I saw locals wirh their own cups around the pool. It is all about dozens of sellers in the lobby area,chasing you to book you an appointment to sell their time share, whuch by the way tgey refuse to callit that way, after they chase you day and night, if you said No, well forget about going to all the nice restaurants they promote, you will be eating fast food meals, pizza,fried chicken,fries,bad quality warm ceviche by the pool and dont forget cheap drinks. First they look when you get in is with what company you book,immediately they separate you isolate you, and put you a bracelet that confirm your are a simple vacationer, no acces to special places, im which you are required to have a black or gold bracelet. I mean, eraly check in if you have or your companion any disability ,forget about asking. The resort wont make any,but any kind of special accomodation, even if you request a month or 2 earlier. I dont know where to start explaning my experience, but I want to state for the record, I am a frequent traveler vacationer, and I been in many all inclusive resorts ,in that way I am going to point what I experience,I saw, and I can confirm because I was there. I waited to write this review, because right after returning from the resort I got really sick from a throat infection.
